JR29926 Business Process Analyst

As a Business Process Analyst at Micron Technology, Inc., you will specialize in bringing change to organizations through the analysis, design and implementation of business processes. Identifies the current state of processes, eliciting information about processes, documenting processes, and facilitating workshops with stakeholder groups to improve business processes. Assist the process owner with reviewing process performance, and suggest better process metrics to maintain efficiency and effectiveness.

**Responsibilities and Tasks**:
**Phases of Business Process Management**:
**Assess**:

- Provide assistance on assessing the system of process performance to target
- Focus on providing support on Risks/Opportunities caused by changes in strategy, or external conditions

**Define**:

- Work with the Project Manager to formalize the Project Charter when an improvement is needed
- Support the definition of the purpose and vision of a process to be improved, and how it relates to the Management System
- Provide input on the process performance targets

**Develop**:

- When it doesn’t exist, build a high level As-Is if there is a repeatable process
- Identify the key disconnect(s) on the As-Is process. A disconnect could be the lack of process
- Facilitate the discussion and formalization of the Macro Design of the Should-Be
- Support the Project Manager in the formalization of the improvement roadmap

**Deploy**:

- Assist with the transition to the new process providing input on demonstration and training
- Assist in testing the process automation
- Develop a sustaining process management collaboration website if needed

**Sustain**:

- Support the Process Owner with monitoring the process performance, defining and executing continuous improvement efforts
- Maintain process documentation up to date
- Conduct periodic process maturity assessments with process owner and stakeholders

**Education**:
Required

**Bachelors Degree**:

- Related field of study

**Experience**:
Required

**5 years experience in any of the following**:

- Business Process Management
- Program / Project Management

**Qualifications**:

- Collaborative - Works effectively with cross functional teams and fights against silos. Builds positive relationships with key internal and external customers based on trust and confidence
- Innovative - Drives business process work by looking at ways to be innovative with what we do and how we work. Looks at processes from an end-to-end view
- Knowledge of the business - understands not only the processes in a functional area but also how the processes fit into the system of processes as well as how they align to the company’s strategy and key priorities
- Tenacious - continues to be persistent in driving business value
- Analytical - Analyzes partner needs and various situations, and proposes structure and direction to move forward
- Comfortable working with a senior level contributor, business process owner
- Knowledge of process management using RummlerBrache methodology and possess a process management approach
