**Role**: Senior Business Solution Strategist - Manufacturing
**Business Summary**
The Application Cloud Transformation (ACT) Group collaborates with our major customers in the Enterprise sector customers to create transformation strategies and business cases. With former C-Level and industry consultants in our ranks, we are authorities on uncovering hidden barriers, finding opportunities, and formulating meaningful IT transformation plans. The team exclusively engages Directors, C-Level executives in Korea and work with our most strategic Enterprise Customers to help them navigate the people, process, and technology challenges of Digital Transformation.
The Senior Business Solution Strategist, reports to the ACT Leader within the SEAK Geo with dotted lined reporting to the APJ Director of Advisory Services. The focus is on Korea market, with the role based in Seoul; however also includes supporting strategic opportunities across the Asia Pacific, and Japan region. You will promote adoption of VMware solutions into a defined set of Enterprise accounts of VMware’s business. This exciting strategic role combines the competencies of strategy consulting, executive engagement, deal structuring and leading projects.

**Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?**
In the first 6-12 months, you will focus on:
- Setting a 90-day plan of embedding yourself in the business
- Focusing on the VMware value proposition and vision for the ACT business
- Bringing Industry Thought Leadership to the fore
- Setting an SME focus that you will become the "go-to" for Industry, Seminars, and white paper development
- Developing trusted relationships with your internal account teams
- Bringing an agnostic view to your engagements driving value through outcomes-based consultancy engagement
- Embedding yourself at the right level in your client environments, and developing a clear path of transformation opportunity success and horizon opportunity view
**The Work: What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?**
As a Senior Business Solution Strategist (BSS) in the ACT Group you will play an important role in building and sustaining executive customer relationships and trust in our most strategic accounts. Your role is to be a consultative thought leader that partners with the customer to craft a transformation strategy that aligns with the customers business objectives and VMWare’s offerings.
Your role combines design-thinking, strategy consulting, deal structuring, and enterprise architecture. You will facilitate cross-functional sales and account teams on high-profile engagements, executive presentations, and workshops, represent VMware at executive forums, and educate VMware account teams on best practices and industry trends. As a Senior Business Solution Strategist your role will be impactful, visible, and rewarding.

- At least 10 years of experience handling Enterprise accounts in Manufacturing Sector such as Samsung, HKMC, LG, SK, etc. in the Korea market
- Robust understanding of how the typical buying process in Enterprise/Corporations operates in Korea
- Good understanding of the procurement process and contract vehicles for Enterprise clients/corporates
- Understanding of the financial and technical challenges faced with running modern day IT operations
