Our client, a renowned and prestigious international bank, is seeking a **Settlement Officer**to join their **Operations Department**.
**Position Title**:Settlement Officer
**Reporting to**:Manager, Operations Department
**Contract Duration**:12-month contract, renewable and convertible
**Main Tasks and Duties**:
- Process inward and outward RMB transactions.
- Investigate payment instructions when inquiries arise.
- Attend to internal and external customer inquiries and investigate non-receipt of funds.
- Collect charges from customers.
- Check and process account opening documents for participating banks.
- Prepare month-end reports and reporting data for participating banks.
- Coordinate with other business departments regularly to optimize internal systems and procedures.
- Perform any other ad hoc duties assigned by the Department Manager.
**Job Requirements**:
- Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in Banking and Finance.
- Good knowledge of accounting is advantageous.
- Strong data analysis skills.
- Fluent in English and Proficiency in Mandarin to liaise with Chinese-speaking stakeholders.
- Willingness to learn, proactive, and self-initiated.
- Ability to cope with stress in a fast-paced working environment.
- Strict adherence to company rules and regulations.
