THE JOB:

- Oversee and manage all financial aspects of the company, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and analysis.
- Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely processing of transactions.
- Prepare and present financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and monitor budgets, track variances, and provide financial projections to support decision-making processes. Identify opportunities for cost reduction and revenue enhancement.
- Conduct financial analysis to evaluate business performance, identify trends, and provide insights to management. Assist in strategic planning and decision-making by providing financial data and recommendations.
- Establish and maintain effective internal control procedures to safeguard company assets, ensure accurate financial records, and prevent fraud. Review and improve existing controls as necessary.
- Coordinate and support external audits, including collaborating with auditors, providing necessary documentation, and addressing audit findings. Ensure compliance with tax regulations and other legal requirements.
- Manage a team of accounting and finance professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations. Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment.
- Interact with internal stakeholders, such as the Management, department heads, and operational teams, to provide financial insights and support their decision-making processes. Build relationships with external parties, including banks, auditors, and vendors.
- Stay updated on industry trends, accounting regulations, and best practices. Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and system enhancements to optimize efficiency and accuracy.


WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in accounting or finance, with progressive responsibilities. Prior experience in a supervisory or managerial role is desirable.
- Professional qualifications preferred (ACCA, CPA, ICAEW, CIMA or MICPA).
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and auditing standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Leadership abilities and the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated integrity, ethics, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality in handling financial information.
