**Summary**

Responsible for all daily ship management of assigned vessels including but not limited to operational and technical aspects.
- Safety leader by leading and ensuring safety is top priority in all vessels
- Responsible for all daily operational and technical support to vessels including but not limited by carrying out Vessel Condition Assessments, support daily operation requirement of vessel and be the point of contact with Vessel Owner/End client
- Operate and maintain the ship marine equipment in a safe, economic, and efficient way in accordance with customer contract /Charter Party, within approved budgets, to the satisfaction of both owners and their clients, guided by company’s SMS system.
- Ensure that Statutory and Classification surveys for all plant and equipment on the vessels are carried out fully certified according to regulations on timely manner.
- Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance is carried out with company’s PMS system to prevent technical / operational non-conformities that may lead to downtime.
- Contribute with continued improvement of the PMS maintenance system by providing proactive feedback to the Fleet Manager and Marine Manager.
- Quarterly vessel visit/inspection both either offshore or at berth (with owner’s approval) and provide Marine Manager and Fleet Manager with full report c/w photo’s not limited to finding, areas of concern, recommendation etc
- Monitor and follow-up the vessel’s technical performance and defined KPIs. Take immediate actions to adjust and improve performance in case of non-conformities or when deviations are observed/reported. Follow-up and ensure corrective actions are implemented in case of technical related incidents and non-conformities. Analyse breakdown and technical incidents and suggest experience transfers to the fleet.
- Update vessel operational/technical status on weekly basis to the Marine Manager/Fleet Manager, owner and clients
- Responsible for the planning, coordination and supervision of ship repair and dry-docking of vessels, in cooperation with other stakeholders.
- Responsible and operate the vessel within vessel budget i.e., docking, repairs, opex, capex, AFE
- If any major breakdown occurs, make sure to arrange repairs, provide spares and arrange for service engineers. Supervise the repair work as needed to ensure safe work, best quality, and cost-effective process. If insurance is involved, contact, inform and follow up until settlement in coordination with Marine Manager and Fleet Manager.
- Participate in appraisals and selection of key personnel onboard the vessel.
- Comply with the requirements in STRATO SEMS and report non-conformities.
- Actively cooperate with other disciplines within the fleet to optimize overall vessel and fleet performance.
- Proactive and look for effective solutions - both for the Company and for the Clients.
- Monitor utilization of vessel and document off-hire for verification and commercial purposes.
- Monitor and review JSA, Risk Assessments (include Cyber Security Risks) and the PTW system.
- Participate in vessels related matters including but not limited to vessels incidents, audits and ad-hoc inspections to ensure safety standards are at a high level.
- Manage crew related matters such as involve in crew recruitment process, conduct shipboard training, safety awareness, introduce company initiatives programmes (eg. behaviour based system).
- Monitor and make sure that the vessel is maintain 100 % utilization within safety guidelines
- Assist HSSEQ in incident/accident investigation
- Attend third party inspection such as suitability, OVID, MWS, OSVIS
- Keep record of maintenance day and request if necessary.
- Ad-hoc tasks as assigned

**Job requirements**
- Min. 2 years of ship management experience as Marine Superintendent **with sailing experience as Chief Engineer/Second Engineer, **preferably in offshore industry.
- Sound knowledge in Regulatory requirements and Industry standards for shipping and maritime operations.
- Experience in vessel assurance, PMS and safety security management system
- Strong in analytical problem solving and troubleshooting. Resilient under pressure with decisive decision-making skills.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
- Team player, good attitude, yet also able to work independently with mínimal supervision.
- Able to travel in short notice.
- Able to adapt or change as per the company’s policy/requirement.
