We’re hiring a self-motivated Senior Communications Specialist with proven and strong Communications and Project Management skills. Phenomenal communication and copywriting skills are essential.

**Responsibilities**:

- Drive development and management of FedEx Communications program regionally, with focus on reputation building, external media relations, issues and crisis management and community relations; support business and communications objectives; provide support to ensure that FedEx is properly represented in external channels including media and social in a cost-effective manner.
- Drive content development including Q&As, speeches, presentations and briefing materials as well as social/digital channels that support Communications programs.
- Develop and implement crisis communications in order to ensure all external critical issues are handled appropriately and minimize risks to the brand.
- Build relations and drive community programs with non-profit organizations; seek, review and submit community relations requests for programs to ensure that they are aligned with business objectives; implement approved regional community relations activities to effectively position FedEx.
- Develop and use quarterly analytics to optimize programs to drive communications results.

**Job Requirements**:

- BA in public relations and / or communications
- At least eight (8) years of experience in Communications discipline with strong knowledge of principles of social media
- Strong media relations experience and proven track record in reputation building.
- Solid understanding of project management principles and strong project manager.
- Ability to support and connect business strategy to the communications strategy.
- Proficient command of English with solid English copywriting and editing skills
- Excellent communication (oral and written) and presentation skills
- Experienced in being advisor and counsellor to senior leadership
- Strong and collaborative team player.
