JR38585 Principal Engineer - NVE PE

As a Product Engineer at Micron, you will be part of a forward-thinking team of engineers that solves complex problems, responsible for enabling Micron’s products with flawless and issue free release to both internal and external customers. Product Engineers are the key interface between Research and Development, Manufacturing, Marketing, and Quality Assurance departments.

As a Principal Engineer in the Non-Volatile Engineering (NVEG) Product Engineering organization at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be leading a brilliant team of engineers that solves complex problems. You will be responsible for enabling Micron’s NAND products with seamless and issue-free release to both internal and external non-volatile system customers.

In this role, you will lead a team of engineers to formulate and execute validation flows on the latest RG NAND designs, focusing on Power Characterization, as well as High-Speed production correlation and characterization using the latest high-speed ATE testers. When device issues are uncovered, you will perform detailed failure analysis and work closely with the various Engineering and Development groups to resolve the observed issues. **Responsibilities include, but not limited to**:

- Develop test program and methodologies on high-speed tester hardware to perform power and speed characterization of new NAND devices at high data rates
- Run Power Char as well as High-Speed Char evaluation flows, which the latter includes correlation with production results
- Perform Electrical Failure Analysis during the evaluations, and investigate root causes of reported device issues
- Collaborate with NAND Design, Application Engineering, Product and System teams to drive closure of device issues
- Automation of program development and work processes using scripting

**Skills Required**:

- Keen interest in design validation and device characterization
- 10 years and above experience in product engineering/characterization/qualification, out of which 5 or more years should be in NAND flash memory field
- Software development proficiency (e.g. C-based programming) and scripting (e.g. Perl, Python)
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- Simulation software know-how (e.g. Verilog, Synopsis VCS) is a plus
- Effective communication skills in written and spoken English
- Good multitasking and organizational skills
- Self-motivation and enthusiasm
