Senior Accountant

**OVERVIEW**
We are looking for an analytical-minded and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join the Singapore Finance & Accounting team. The position reports to the Accounting Manager. The role covers a variety of financial & accounting activities, which include supporting and collaborating with regional in-country finance teams in monthly close processes, reviewing and analyzing financial statements and reports. The role requires solid hands-on, sound accounting knowledge and advanced Excel and ERP system skills, gained through prior experiences in US or multinational companies and will strive in a multi-team collaborative environment. Additionally, the role will act as a key participant in ERP system implementation and process improvement projects.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Coordinate and support regional teams in monthly close processes in Oracle ERP, review of financial reporting packages & reports to resolve exceptions, perform journal entry upload and account balances reconciliation.
- Lead accounting support for Philippines & Thailand; develop in-depth knowledge of local financial practices and ensure compliance.
- Generate templates & schedules to regional teams for reporting and analysis including reconciliation of primary and statutory ledgers.
- Perform monthly consolidated P&L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting & funding request.
- Active participation in new ERP system implementation, system upgrade testing and continuous process improvement projects.
- Assist in internal and external audits, tax preparation & filing activities, and other new projects when required.
**DESIRABLE QUALIFICATION & COMPETENCIES**
- Accounting degree or equivalent.
- 5-7 years relevant experience, prior audit experience from Big-4 will be a plus.
- Excellent advanced Excel & reporting tools (Pivot, Lookup, Essbase, SmartView & Power BI) and Oracle or equivalent financial system skills.
- Strong in analytical thinking and problem-solving, communication, organization and time management.
