Research Associate/fellow, Mixed Methods Health

Primary Care and Family Medicine at LKC Medicine is seeking a motivated Research Fellow / Research Associate to play a key role in the development on a new program of work to capture general practice activity and optimise cancer and chronic disease screening and management in primary care. They will contribute to co-design of health services interventions with patients, their carers and primary care health professionals, and to their evaluation in implementation studies.
This is a key role which will build capacity in Primary Care OPEN, our patient and public involvement group, and the pcRn primary care research network.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to design, data collection, analysis and interpretation of quantitative, qualitative and co-design studies- Project management of program of work, ensuring study deliverables, reports and publications are completed punctually according to study and grant timelines- Work effectively with OPEN, the Office for Patient Engagement at Le Kong Chian School of Medicine to grow primary care patient panel- Perform literature searches and scientific writing in the form of grants, manuscripts, reports, reviews, abstracts, posters and oral presentations-
- Establish and maintain close communication with all stakeholders and study team- Assist in the supervision of student projects within the program of work.- Ensure all work processes meet the ethical standards of the University, Singapore Good Clinical Practice Guidelines and other applicable regulatory and ethical requirements- Assist with any other duties of a similar nature that are delegated by the PI
Key Competencies and Requirements:
- PhD (Research Fellow) or Masters (Research Associate) qualification or equivalent in health services research, implementation science or a related discipline (eg medicine, nursing, allied health, psychology, public health, social science, statistics)- Experience in health services or implementation research, preferably in primary health care setting- Design of research projects using a range of methods (experience of quantitative and qualitative methods)- Competent in utilising software packages including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, statistical packages (e.g. Stata), NVivo- Successful research activity evidenced by:
- Peer reviewed grant income- Publication in national and international journals- Presentations at national and international conferences- Familiarity with primary care setting in Singapore and/or internationally- Ability to work effectively, both individually, as well as part of a team.- Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken
