Vice President, Apac Head of Network Dmz Services

**Your background**

Coming from a technical background, you will have a deep understanding of DMZ technologies and how they are designed, deployed and supported. You appreciate the fundamental importance of the DMZ as both the first line of defence against threat actors and the interface to our external parties.

You enjoy working on multiple streams of work with competing priorities and building relationships with line of business representatives socializing the great work the team is doing on their behalf.

You have a drive for getting things done, some may say an impatience, and are known for leaving nothing to chance - spotting unknown dependencies and proactively circumventing issues before they arise.

You will have led teams previously and enjoy contributing to the team’s development and success. You appreciate the need for reporting but will do anything to ensure it’s as automated and as burden-free on the team as possible.

And finally, you enjoy the challenging rigors of working in a highly regulated environment and helping out your peers - not being phased if asked to lead our Operations or Project Management teams for a short period.
- Minimum 10 years of experience required (less if you are a superstar)
- Extensive experience in network DMZ security technologies including Firewalls, IDS/IPS, Web Content Filtering & Load Balancer technologies.
- Strong knowledge of networking communication principles, network standards, and network security practices.
- Capability to summarize complex issues into executive summaries.
- Strong business partnership skills - Able to build broad-based business relationships across the organization and positively influence colleagues.
- Familiar with product deployments within a global banking environment.
- Willing to work some irregular hours based on the needs of global operating model and the location of clients
- Strong analytical skills with ability to identify gaps, challenge others with positive intent, and drive debate towards identification and remediation of underlying risks.
- Knowledge of regulatory risk management in Technology and Information Security domains.
- Unhappy with laborious manual processes and procedures, always looking for opportunities to drive efficiencies.

**What you can expect**

The APAC Network DMZ Services team is responsible for the end to end engineering and deployment of DMZ services network infrastructure within Bank of America.

You will be responsible for executing on the global strategy and accountable for providing end-to-end network DMZ infrastructure solutions for internal clients, lines of business and external 3rd parties.

You will lead a team of 12-15 DMZ Security engineers, with a focus on team development and providing guidance on how to more efficiently meet delivery targets as well as providing executive level updates to our regional CTO/CIOs.

You will also be a member of the regional Network Services Senior Leadership Team contributing to the overall strategy and direction of the organization.

**What you will do**
- Be accountable for end to end engineering and deployment of DMZ services within APAC region, serving as the escalation point of contact to senior leaders.
- Leading and supervising a diverse, geographically dispersed team across APAC.
- Ensure security controls are implemented and operating effectively as part of solutions delivery.
- Utilize creative-thinking and advanced problem-solving skills to build and maintain strategic roadmaps that enhance information security mission while optimizing cost, business needs, and end user experience.
- Manage a wide portfolio of workstreams including both Networks and business aligned initiatives.
- Collaborate with global engineering domain leads and operations teams from service design through to implementation and transition to support.
- Identifying and managing the mitigation of risks within the environment supporting activities related to Audit, Compliance Reviews & Regulatory Exams.
- Liaise with Information Security partners to enforce compliance with standards.
- Review of all capacity metrics to ensure availability of all services.
- Maintain relationships with 3rd party vendors and internal stakeholders through regular touchpoints.
- Control of the regional DMZ Services budget feeding into forecast costing for initiatives and ensuring mínimal deviation.
