**Your role**
- We are looking for someone who can:
- Be the lead business aligned compliance officer for the Global Banking (GB), Research and Evidence Lab Businesses in Singapore and South East Asia.
- Provide independent oversight and challenge to business stakeholders as second line of defense, advise on regulatory developments and emerging risks
- Contribute towards new business proposals and project work, ensure compliance risk frameworks are designed well and operating effectively
- Establish, maintain and review policies, procedures and controls designed to comply with laws, rules, regulation and industry standards
- Work closely with business and other GCRG teams on regulatory changes, audits, investigations, violations, training and regulatory engagement
- Work closely with other global counterparts to deliver global and regional business plans representing Asia in global discussions
- Provide advisory support to other Asia locations and disseminate firm’s global practices/ policy initiative
- Attend business and governance committees and provide C&ORC’s view, discuss and update senior management on regulatory compliance issues

**Your team**
- You’ll be working in the Global Banking and Research aligned Compliance and Operational Risk Control (C&ORC) team in Singapore. We support the Global Banking and Research business by partnering with them to effectively manage regulatory risk in an environment of collaboration and constructive challenge. Our duties include implementing the Operational Risk Framework and to ensure regulatory and operational risks are identified, properly assessed and recorded. You'll play an important role in helping us develop risk mitigating measures, controls and adequate remediation plans are in place. You'll also collaborate with global colleagues to ensure that best practices are being shared around the region/globe.

**Your expertise**
- You have:
- Bachelor degree in accounting/ law or finance-related areas
- Minimum of 8+ years’ experience in Control Room/ Global Banking/ Research C&ORC
- Solid knowledge of industry standards and regulations, understanding of broad range of investment banking business activities and key compliance & operational risks
- Understanding of Control Room systems and procedures
- Project management experience a plus
