Singapore Marine & Offshore Co. Full time

**(The job will be based in Bahrain for a permanent contract)**

**There will be family status provided - visa, medical insurance and yearly ticket allowance for up to 2 children.**

**Job Scope**:

- Ensuring that all mechanical-related work adheres to specified high-quality standards, at minimized costs, and within scheduled repair timelines.
- Maintains recognized working practices and Quality Control Systems in line with the company’s Quality System Manual.

**Responsibilities**:

- Holds daily meeting with his Section Heads and Supervisors to check the progress of work, provide technical advice and decide job priorities.
- Provides technical feasibility of tasks for tender submission to the Commercial Division related to ship owners.
- Discusses with Projects Managers (Ship Repair) and Project Managers (Rig Repair) and Superintendents methods of work and priorities.
- Regularly visits/inspects workshops, ships and Yard installations to check the progress of on-going jobs and give technical advice.
- Responsible for planning and implementation of schedules supplied by Central Planning Unit.
- Ensures that safe working practices are followed by his Department employees and see that they are issued with and use personal protective equipment.
- Responsible for any disciplinary action when required within his Department according to the Company’s guidelines.

**Qualifications**:

- Education: Bachelor’s / Diploma Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Marine Engineering.
- Experience: Minimum of 8 years’ experience in a Ship Repair Yard Mechanical workshop, and hands-on experience On-board Ships.

**Salary**: $8,000.00 - $10,713.00 per month

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay
- Performance bonus
- Yearly bonus
