**What you will be working on**
- Lead the AI engineering technical function within S&S COE
- Oversee the design, development, and deployment of AI models, algorithms and data pipeline for S&S COE
- Define, implement and continuously improve AI engineering processes within the team to ensure reliability, and maintainability of released AI models
- Collaborate with stakeholders, such as the engagement managers, product managers, software engineers and operational end-users to define and implement AI technologies that meet their business needs
- Identify and resolve technical issues and strive to keep the team’s technical debt as low as possible
- Manage team’s resources and work performance and to match individual aspiration with stakeholders’ requirements
- Stay up to date with the latest AI technologies, trends and best practices
- Foster a culture of learning, experimentation, and continuous improvement in the AI Engineering team
- Guide the AI engineering team to write good quality model training and deployment code to facilitate productization of the AI models
- Manage team’s resources and work performance and to match individual aspiration with stakeholders’ requirements
- Foster a culture of learning, experimentation, and continuous improvement in the software engineering team
- Keep abreast of new AI and Software engineering practices and technologies, and continuously improve S&S COE’s engineering internal workflow and practices

**What we are looking for**
- Bachelor’s/Master’s/PhD degree in any of the following: Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or relevant areas
- At least 10 years of relevant professional work experience relating to software engineering, quality assurance or system engineering
- At least three (3) years of hands-on experience in AI model development with Python using frameworks such as OpenCV, Tensorflow or Torch
- At least two (2) years of years of experience in designing, developing, deploying, and monitoring machine learning and Deep Learning solutions using Docker, Kubernetes or Kubeflow
- At least 3-year’s experience of working in Cloud environment (AWS or Azure) Experience with Government Commercial Cloud (GCC) environment will be strongly preferred
- Good experience in Bash and PowerShell Scripting on Linux Operating system
- A proven track record of people management and being able to develop individuals’ careers and motivation to achieve team’s outcomes
- Having domain knowledge in Homeland Security sector will be an added bonus
- Self-motivated
- Able to translate strategy into implementation
- Clear headed under pressure
- Has high level of integrity
- Function well as a team player
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills

All new hires are appointed on a two-year contract in the first instance and will be assessed and considered for permanent tenure over time, based on performance.
