effort to implement Phase II of Singapore’s 10-year National Precision Medicine Strategy. We are hiring an
All-Star Team and together we hope to bring appropriate genomic technologies into clinical practise in a cost
effective manner.
**What you will be working on**
**(A) GENERAL
Key to Phase II of Singapore’s National Precision Medicine roadmap is the identification of clinical use cases
Health Economist, you will perform a variety of functions to support the initiatives undertaken by PRECISE,
including but not limited to:
1. Review best practices internationally to evaluate cost-effectiveness and recommend appropriate
early-stage health economic models and evaluation/implementation framework to develop in
Singapore, for key disease areas of interest where genomic technologies are being applied.
2. Work with clinicians to develop economic models and evaluation frameworks to provide insights to
3. Collaborate with stakeholders from relevant government departments, hospitals, health and academic
institutions for data collection and subsequent data analysis.
4. Carry out early health technology assessment for projects to evaluate their potential effectiveness
and impacts before deployment as clinical pilots. Where necessary, the models can be used to inform
the most cost effective way to deploy technologies.
5. Validate and update the models during the course of clinical implementation pilots, work with
stakeholders to prepare and publish manuscripts describing the outcomes of the pilots.
6. Interpret and analyse model results, producing technically accurate written reports of methodologies
and outcomes, and communicating these insights to various stakeholders to aid policy decision in the

**What we are looking for**
**(A) EDUCATION, TRAINING
Masters or PhD degree, with demonstrated knowledge in health technology evaluation;
**(B) ATTRIBUTES**
1. Industry, government or academic experience in observational research, clinical trial analysis, and
early health technology assessment;
2. Experience in evaluating genomic technologies will be an advantage;
3. Proven track record of prior work leading to reimbursement or subsidy by funding bodies will be
advantageous;
4. Able to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary setting, with the ability to
communicate complex ideas succinctly;
