The Centre for OptoElectronics and Biophotonics, School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Nanyang Technological University is looking for a Project Officer who will conduct research for developing integrated photonic LiDAR chip. Research on photonics and optoelectronics is one of the main research focuses of our school. The Project Officer will be expected to develop integrated photonics chip for LiDAR sensors for autonomous vehicle technology.


Job Responsibilities:
- Perform optical simulations using state-of-the-art optical simulators (e.g., Lumerical).- Tape-out photonic LiDAR chips through commercial Si photonics foundries- Characterize the fabricated devices in our photonics lab (refer to- ).- Device simulation- Device design- Optical characterization

Job Requirements:
Education background/ experience required:
- Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering/Physics or any related areas

Specific Knowledge & Skills:
- Strong passion for pushing the boundary of human knowledge in science and engineering domain- Good English reading and writing skills- Good communication skills and team player
