**JOB DESCRIPTION**
- Enhance children’s literacy skills, focusing on children’s pronunciation, reinforce sight word knowledge, develop vocabulary and grammar, and enhance comprehension skills
- Create a culture and a love for reading
- Create a curriculum and lesson plan for a reading enrichment class
- Establish individual literacy goals for each child
- Keep records of the students’ progress, routines, and interests, and keep class teachers informed about children’s development
- Work with children in groups or one on one, depending on the needs of children
- Conduct individual and school wide assessments in order to evaluate levels and targeted interventions
- Provide support to class teachers and suggest strategies to improve and support literacy growth

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- L1/L2 certified English Preschool Teacher
- At least a Certificate in Early Childhood Care and Education
- Has at least 1 year of teaching experience in a pre-school setting
- Enthusiastic, imaginative and energetic individual capable of gaining the full potential from each child.
- Have not been convicted of any offence under the Children and Young Persons Act or any other office involving child abuse or child neglect
- 5-day work week (2pm - 6pm)
- Working location is 5-min walk from Lavender MRT
