JOB SCOPE & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support and monitor spare part purchasing, review monthly maintenance planning, monthly evaluation report, vessel’s hand-over report, and other relative reports.
- Carrying out comprehensive vessel inspection for vessels undercharge/primary responsibility and composing visiting reports on time.
- Obtaining and comparing quotations from repair yards to get the most competitive quotes, checking on estimated cost, timing and extent of repair, preparing preliminary budgets of repairs for submission to the General Manager for approval.
- Advise and monitor vessel dry-docking and navigate repair. Attend to the investigations of technical accidents.
- Manage and maintain vessels’ drawings, technical data, instruction books, documents of SMS, certificates of ship management and other management documents.
- Reviewing and keeping up‑to‑date surveys and certificates required for the ships, arranging necessary surveys to be carried out at the stipulated intervals for renewal of trading, class, or other certificates in accordance with the various regulations.
- Take control of vessels’ expenditures, including checking vessel fuel consumption, spare part purchasing planning, and storage.
- Monitor and manage crews’ working behaviors, responsibilities, and understandings of vessel policy.
- Investigate any action of breach of the principles, conduct crew performance appraisal, and advise decisions of promotion and rewards.
- Assist Technical Manager in other assigned duties.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Diploma in Ship Engineering or Maritime
- At least 2 years of working experience in ship repairing, ship maintenance, crew management, and ship inspection
- Hard-working and strong team player
- Able to work under pressure in a physically challenging environment, such as shipyard and port
- Good organization and communication skills
- Basic Knowledge of Microsoft Office and software of Ship management
- Technical Superintendent is required to liaise with customers and business partners from / based in China. Knowledge of Mandarin is essential.
