Research Assistant Intern (20 weeks):
Project Description:
As an intern within Illumina’s Research and Development team, you will work as part of a global multi-disciplinary research team to help create new sequencing methods. You will report directly to the Lab Supervisor and provide support to laboratory activities.

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Prepare, set-up, conduct and record the outcome of experiments and field work- Analyze data by utilizing basic statistics- Provide recommendations and solutions to routine problems in relation to the research project i.e methodological/technical problems- Assist in laboratory maintenance- Upkeep of lab equipment, maintain laboratory supplies and good housekeeping- Learn and have fun

Qualifications and Requirements:
- Open to current Diploma students in scientific disciplines such as Pharmaceutical Sciences and Biotechnology- Organized, excellent laboratory skills- Meticulous, attentive to details- Able to communicate effectively with excellent verbal/written communication skills- Analytical, efficient, problem solver, easily-adaptable, independent but also works well in a team- Takes initiative, a self-starter, positive, and driven with a “can do” attitude.
