**What we will challenge you to achieve**
As a Senior Sales Engineering Manager, you will be a seasoned, effective, and motivated technical sales engineer and leader, looking to move their career further in leading and mentoring a team of Consulting Sales Engineers with a focus on sales growth, technical and operational excellence as well as team development.
**Primary Responsibilities**
- Leading and supporting a Consulting Sales Engineer team from both a pre-sale (RFP, Peer-review, presentations) and sales enablement perspective, utilizing your experience to guide and help your team be more effective
- During periods of resource conflict or vacation coverage challenges, undertaking sales engineering duties to provide consistency to your customers
- Building and maintaining relationships with Juniper APAC account teams with a focus on enhancing their customers’ experience with Juniper
- Presenting to customers as an expert in your area as well the wider Juniper messaging at all levels in the customer hierarchy from technician to IT Directors and above.
- Leading conversations about industry trends and emerging changes to the enterprise landscape that every customer needs to plan for
- Maintaining a general understanding of competitor selling strategies and their products in the marketplace and positions ours as the best alternative
- Representing APAC SP and Data Centre Sales Engineering community, working with Product Line Management, Technical Marketing Engineering to build requirements and product features for our large customers and provide feedback from customers
- Recruiting and hiring new Sales Engineers into your team
- Developing, training, mentoring, and reviewing the employees within your team, using your previous experience in the role to retain, engage and guide them in their careers
- Demonstrating the ‘Juniper Way’ and the things we value - Be Bold, Build Trust, Deliver Excellence
**Who you are**:
- An accomplished self-starter with leadership and technical experience
- Adept at business diplomacy and dealing with sometimes difficult situations and escalations
- Aware of market trends and transitions; and understand network systems architecture and its associated business value
- An excellent communicator, presenter and organizer with skills that provide clear purpose, direction, goals, and measures.
- A reliable leader committed to earning your team’s trust every day through your actions and transparency
- Knowledgeable about how to deliver a comprehensive solution to Juniper Networks customer base
- A trusted advisor to clients, who is quota driven and focused on providing the best solutions to your customers
