**How you'll make a difference**:Work with the team behind nuScenes, PointPillars, Point Painting, MotionTrack End-to-End Tracking, PBP Trajectory Prediction and DriveIRL to deliver ML technologies aligned with the core values of Motional ensuring the highest standards of quality, scientific rigor and innovation. Research and develop innovative machine learning strategies for challenging problems that will affect the future of self driving cars. Collaborate with broader teams across Motional gaining exposure to multiple engineering disciplines and several projects simultaneously throughout the development process. Execute on the tasks assigned, meet deadlines and at the same time independently explore new innovative ideas

**What you'll bring**:

- Enrolled in a Masters or PhD program in Computer Science, Robotics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Physics or similar technical field of study
- Demonstrated interest in research and development through academic projects or publications in any of the top-tier conferences(RSS, ICRA, CoRL, CVPR, ICRL, ICML, NeurIPS, etc.)
- Relevant work experience, including internships, full time industry experience or as a researcher in either computer vision, content recommendation, non-linear optimization, reinforcement learning, deep learning or robotics
- One-team mindset and effective collaboration with other researchers and engineers
- Strong coding experience in Python and with PyTorch or other commonly-used deep learning frameworks
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
