**Roles & Responsibilities**
Analyze and communicate the financial results of the company providing insights to risks and opportunities in meeting corporate objectives and profitability.

**Skills, Abilities and Mastery (Responsibility Matrix)**:
Services:
- Analyze and make recommendations for planning unit profitability including improvement in productivity, cost reduction and operating asset management.
- Ensures data integrity of the planning unit.
Delivery:
- Participate in strategic planning, forecasting, improving and measuring performance. Help ensure that the effective linkage of strategies, tactics, metrics and goals exist and are clearly understood by the team and reflected in the visual operating systems.
- Provide financial support in value stream management including but not limited to: weekly box score reporting, value stream costing, sales and margin analysis and operational/profitability analysis.
- Support their WBS maturity progression, including participating in daily, weekly and monthly meetings and gemba walks as a part of the team.
- Actively participate in and contribute to the Sales, Operations, and Financial Planning (SOFP).
- Support lean transformation through lean accounting tools and techniques.
- Perform month-end closing activities for the planning unit.
- Assist with the year-end financial audit.
- Represent Controller in his/her absence as required.
- Provide guidance to Business Analysts as required.
Business Partner:
- Backup Controller in his/her absence as required.
- Provide guidance to Business Analysts as required.
- Collaborate with other functions around the improvement of true north. An example includes supply chain to analyze inventory levels and implement changes to continually reduce Inventory Days of Supply.
Center of Expertise (COE)
Develops strategies, programs and policies with regard to:
- Tax
- Credit and Collections
- Treasury
- Travel
- Business Operations
- Accounting
- International Finance
- Shared Services
**Education, Experience and Certification Requirements**:
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience (5-8 years)
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) / Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) certification preferred
- Project management experience preferred
- Value Stream Management (VSM) /Lean Accounting preferred
- Leadership experience
