Our translators are responsible for TEP (Translation, Editing, Proofing) work either independently, or as part of a translation team in various translation projects. They are personally responsible and are expected to meet their individual project quality requirements and deadlines. When working as a team, they are to take initiative to clarify and work with their team leaders and fellow translators to achieve the project goals.
**Responsibilities/Duties**
Your duties as Language Translator/ Linguist are as follows:
- Translation of documents (CHI-ENG as main language pair)
- Edit /proof read translated documents (as and when required)
- Transcribe audio/video media (CHI-ENG language pair, as and when required)
- Equipping and developing self in one specialization (e.g. legal, life sciences, etc.) as designated by company, and comfortable in one other specialization
- As and when needed, to assist in certain Company projects
- Reporting to the Senior Linguist / Project Director
**Requirements**:
Required language(s): Chinese (read and write), proficient in English (read and write)
Experience: At least 2 years of working experience as a fulltime translator (CHI - ENG pair) is required for this position
Must-have Skill(s): - Good written linguistic abilities - Proficient in language software - Computer literate - Comfortable with learning and using new translation software
