**Job Summary**:
The Publicity Manager is responsible for overseeing the firm’s media relations and communication strategies to enhance its public image and brand. This individual will work closely with the marketing, legal, and senior leadership teams to develop and execute publicity campaigns that highlight the firm’s expertise, promote its services, and establish the firm as a thought leader in the legal field.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Media Relations**:Develop and maintain relationships with legal and industry journalists, media outlets, and influencers to secure coverage for the firm’s achievements, thought leadership, and significant cases.
Write and distribute press releases, pitch stories, and respond to media inquiries to promote the firm’s activities, new hires, and case wins. Coordinate media interviews, speaking engagements, and appearances for attorneys and partners.
- **Content Development**:Draft high-quality content for external communications, including press releases, media advisories, newsletters, blogs, and articles. Collaborate with attorneys to craft thought leadership pieces, case studies, and opinion articles on trending legal topics. Ensure all written content aligns with the firm’s messaging and brand standards.
- **Brand and Reputation Management**:Monitor and manage the firm’s public image and online presence, including overseeing social media content and responses. Track industry trends and competitor media presence to ensure the firm’s reputation remains competitive and relevant. Respond to negative publicity or press inquiries, working with senior management and legal teams to develop appropriate responses.
- **Event Management and Public Relations Campaigns**:Plan and execute publicity events, including press conferences, networking events, seminars, and community outreach programs. Work with the marketing team to support firm events and client-facing communications to maximize exposure. Develop and implement PR campaigns to highlight specific practice areas or special legal achievements.
- **Collaboration and Reporting**:Work closely with the marketing team, partners, and other stakeholders to integrate publicity efforts with the firm’s broader marketing strategies. Measure the effectiveness of publicity campaigns and report on media coverage, analyzing the impact on the firm’s brand and business. Provide ongoing insights and recommendations to improve publicity efforts and media strategies.
