As a People and Communications Executive, you will be responsible for the ongoing production, maintenance and development of key internal communications channels including regular publications, intranet, videos and our internal TV network. The role requires creation of creative content and campaigns to drive employee engagement.
As part of the Jetstar Asia People team, you will have the opportunity to plan and deliver internal engagement activities including recognition programs and training and development support. Developing effective internal communications plans and campaigns to support projects and priorities across Jetstar.
Reporting to the Head of People, your main accountabilities will include:
Employee engagement
- Responsible for planning and organising engagement activities across the organisation.
- Support the roll-out of engagement survey, including action planning and communication strategy.
Training and development
- Responsible to ensure online mandatory training modules are completed on time.
- Responsible for sourcing of suitable training programs, funding to support learning needs.
- Provide support in resolving technical issues related to the training platform.
Program lead
- Act as the lead for employee recognition program to promote values and behaviours.
- Act as the lead for internship programs through partnerships with tertiary institutions.
- Act as the lead for employee referral program to drive staff referral rate.
Resourcing
- Support recruitment activities across the business
Process Improvements
- Review current processes and policies for greater effectiveness and productivity
Internal communications
- Manage internal communications channels to support our strategic priorities.
- Develop strategies for targeted comms: right message, right team member, right time.
- Support company milestones, initiatives and events with innovative communications solutions.
- Develop, deliver and measure timely, creative and relevant communications for team members to keep them informed, engaged and empowered.
- Champion use of internal communications channels across the business.
- Work closely and maintain strong relationships with team members from across the business to identify positive stories that hero our people.
Manage internal communication channels
- Manage internal communications channels, particularly The Runway, JEN & Jetstream TV.
- Analysis of measurement/feedback to determine effectiveness of channels and identify opportunities to improve.
To be considered for these roles you will ideally have:
- Tertiary qualifications in public relations, communications or similar.
- Demonstrated experience at managing internal audiences in a mid-sized organisation.
- Internal Issues management experience in a similarly high-profile environment
- Execution of internal publicity tactics (e.g. campaigns, key issues).
- Event management experience (e.g. staff town-hall events, new product launches from HQ).
- Strong writing and editing skills
- Ability to absorb complex information quickly and distil to widely accessible messages.
- Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
- Ability to prepare communications material for a wide range of audiences and purposes.
- Proven ability to work successfully with cross cultural teams.
- Great interpersonal skills
