**Primary Function**
- Responsible for ensuring proper implementation of best practices through quality and innovative curriculum and programmes through constant observation, sharing and mentoring of staff of respective section (2-4 year olds and/or 4-6 year olds)
- Responsible for providing support services to ensure smooth implementation of family partnerships and the operational aspects of the centre.
- Responsible for supporting the monitoring and ensuring of ethical policies and practices related to licensing and accreditation, and other governing bodies.

**Job Duties and Responsibilities**

**1. Centre Enrolment Matters**:

- Generate monthly income through recruitment and retention of children enrolled in centre.
- Assists with managing of school's assets and resources to maximize efficiency and profitability

**2. Carries out quality checks and maintenance on**:

- Staffing strength, ensuring that staff-child ratio is met in all age groups.
- Class administration (checks children’s central attendance (parent’s sign in / out) and tallies with class attendance, medication of children, weekly menu, weekly activity plans etc..),
- School’s cleanliness, adheres to governance of ECC (environmental control coordinators) and ensure proper preparation and handling of food.
- Conditions of learning resources and materials in the school

**3. Monitor and supervise totality in the quality of the programme**
- Work with HOS and VP (Academic & Operations to ensure that staff deliver best practices through quality and innovative curriculum, programmes and performance of other duties.
- Works with HOS and VP (Academic & Operations) to initiate and drive new initiatives and projects
- Assists in following-up on operational issues by parents, ECDA, staff and management
- Catalogues books/toys/equipment including book wrapping with the assistance of the school administrator and teachers
- Provides regular feedback to Head of School and VP (Academic & Operations) on areas that need improvement
- Initiates and organizes parents’ involvement activities in the centre
- Drafts and prepares consent forms for children’s outings, memos for special class activities, schedules for parent-teacher meetings for approval by Principal/Head of School
- Assists in ensuring instructions from Head of School are carried out appropriately by staff involved
- Mentor to existing and new staff, observe and record teachers’ work behaviour and standards.
- Interacts with children, attends to parent’s enquiries, feedback, initiates conversation with parents.
- Performing teaching duties when teacher is on annual leave/MC
- Attends to walk-in and telephone enquiry (if required)

**4. Responsible for supporting collaboration with community partnerships, student internships and research projects (internal and external) and other authorized persons regarding student or visitor observations and visits.**

**5. Promotes SJI International Preschool’s social mission and objectives through the activities of the school in reaching out to the children, parents and community.**

**6. Implements SJI International Preschool’s Shared Vision and Mission in motivating staff and leading by example.**

**7. Covers Principal’s duties in his/her absence.**

**8. Performs other related duties as assigned by Head of School and/or SJI International Preschool Board of Governors.**
