As a Chinese Program Lead, Student Care, your core job duties are to work closely with the Centre Director to deliver the following:

- Lead Centre’s Chinese Cultural Immersion programmes
- Design, develop and implement age-appropriate engaging and interactive programmes for primary school children highlighting the following Chinese culture and traditions, but not limited to:

- Calligraphy
- Classical Chinese History Stories
- Classical Chinese Literature / Folklore
- Chinese Dance
- Chinese Chess
- Ink painting
- Paper cutting & other crafts
- Other Chinese cultural activities
- Plan and deliver Chinese Show & Tell programme according with Centre’s curriculum
- Oversee and supervise Primary School children
- Ensure classroom discipline & effective classroom management
- Ensure safety of children
- Inculcate and impart good habits and social skills amongst the children
- Guide and support children with the use of positive discipline strategies
- Support students’ social emotional development

For full-time working arrangement, you will also be expected to support the Centre’s operations to:

- Provide guidance and supervision for Primary School children on the completion of daily homework and spelling
- Fetching of children at designated areas
- Timely reporting of students’ attendance
- Maintain order and cleanliness in the classroom
- Maintain and build relationships with children and parents.
- Regular liaison with parents regarding children's progress and behaviour
- Timely submission of progress reports / completed children’s materials to parents
- Assigned administrative duties
- Any other ad-hoc duties as delegated by Centre Director

For Shortlisted Applicants:
You will be required to prepare a Program Proposal. This detailed plan is to be presented during the interview process that reflects your vision for Chinese Immersion programme.

Pre-requisites:

- Strong knowledge of Chinese culture and traditions
- Diploma and above
- Experience in educational program development or cultural instruction is a plus
- Team-player
- Willing to learn
- Dedicated, organised, and takes initiative
- Cheerful disposition
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Excellent command of written & spoken Chinese
- Bilingual in Chinese and English is a plus
- Proficient in basic MS Word, Excel & PowerPoint

Working hours

Full-time and Permanent Part-time working arrangement are available.

Full-time working arrangement:

- School term: Monday to Friday, 10am to 7pm
- School holiday: Monday to Friday, 9-hour shift between 7am to 7pm

Permanent part-time working arrangement:

- 2 to 3 hours between 3.30pm to 6.30pm, at least 2 days per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
