Position Summary
Reporting to the Head of Finance & Risk, APAC, the role will plays a key leadership role both in Edrington Singapore and across Edrington APAC. He/she is responsible for supporting with the financial planning, forecasting and on-going analysis for the APAC region (the largest and fastest growing region for Edrington globally), ensuring all markets are clear on expectations and adherence to regional strategic direction. He/she is also responsible for the entity management for Edrington Singapore, ensuring the day-to-day operations of the business run effectively and efficiently including AP/AR function and accounting/reporting both for management and statutory reporting as well as ensuring strong governance and compliance is adhered to at all times.
Job Description
- Finance lead for strategic planning and commercial strategy culminating in the production of a detailed 3-year plan for the market.
- Lead the detailed (quarterly) forecasting process to ensure opportunities and risks are quantified, communicated and controlled.
- Be a key contributor to the annual strategic planning process for APAC.
- Be a strong business partner to key senior stakeholders across the region and within Edrington Singapore.
- Manage the controls and governance agenda, in conjunction with the APAC regional function to ensure compliance to key policies and that our growth is done in a controlled and disciplined manner. With focus on Edrington Singapore but with learnings and best practice across the region.
- Lead the year end close and audit process for both statutory and group reporting purposes.
- Liaise with tax authorities and external advisors/HQ stakeholders to ensure we remain compliant and understand any risk arising from any changing regulations.
- Monitor and manage the cash balances of Edrington Singapore to ensure accurate forecasting and reporting and that any risks are flagged early and can be resolved quickly.
- Work closely with APAC risk and controls manager to ensure good governance standards are applied and adhered to across Edrington Singapore
- Manage HQ stakeholders for planning, reporting, tax and treasury to ensure strong lines of communication between Regional and Central finance functions.
- Contribute to the APAC Regional Strategy, sharing best practice within the region and globally and proactively participating in global and regional projects where appropriate
- Motivates teams through regular 1:1s with direct reports to discuss performance and development, formally and informally managing employee performance.
- Ensures alignment and delivery of work with regular team meetings to discuss performance and priorities.

- University degree in Finance / Accounting.
- Professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Minimum of 15 years’ experience in Finance and accounting.
- Experience of working within accounting systems (SAP experience desirable).
- Expertise in reporting systems (BW / BI desirable).
- Strong analytical and business modelling skills.
- Strong track record of managing, developing and motivating teams. Role-model “people leader”.
- Experience in a Finance leadership role in an international organisation (within Asia preferred), with full responsibility to the end-to-end function.
- Spirits industry experience would be advantageous.
