**Lead Counsel, Regulatory APAC Responsibilities**:

- Advise on the intersection of international and local laws, cultural nuances and relevant political considerations in a wide range of diverse legal systems across APAC, with a focus on Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos and certain countries in Central Asia
- Help develop policies to successfully manage company’s legal risks relating to user-generated content
- Develop regulatory positions on legislation impacting Meta, including regulations relating to content, online speech, commerce, consumer protection, and advertising
- Develop implementation strategies for regulatory developments
- Respond to regulatory requests for information and draft regulatory filings, ensuring consistency with global regulatory responses, as necessary
Work closely with teams across departments and offices, including our Public Policy, Content Policy and Global Operations teams, based in offices around the world.
- Continuous and comprehensive auditing of the Team’s processes (ticket management, outside counsel management, knowledge management, data analysis, etc.) to identify areas of improvement
- Document and track developments in legislation affecting online intermediaries across APAC

**Minimum Qualifications**:

- LLB, JD or equivalent degree and excellent academic credentials with minimum 5 years PQE.
- Strong experience handling complex legal issues, either in-house or at a law firm, across the APAC region.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Familiarity with international human rights law and regulatory developments relating to online platforms and intermediary liability. Online content related experience would be a plus
- Experience in legal writing and drafting regulatory submission responses
- Experience in advising on and representing companies in significant regulatory inquiries
- Ability to manage wide diverse panel of law firms across multiple jurisdictions
- Ability to independently, quickly and accurately assess legal, practical and business risk
- Strong problem solving and organizational skills and the ability to manage several simultaneous projects under deadline pressure
- Ability to exercise good judgment and provide practical solutions
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
- Able to travel as and when required
