We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as an **Associate, Financial Sponsors Group, Asia Pacific - Global Banking and Markets.**

**Principal Responsibilities**

Under HSBC Private Capital Group (PCG), Financial Sponsors Group, Asia Pacific (FSG ASP) provides holistic investment banking coverage and product solutions to global and regional private equity firms in key footprint markets across Greater China, Southeast Asia, India, and Australia. Globally, FSG also has dedicated private equity coverage in Europe, Americas and EMEA.

FSG ASP works closely with all Sector, Product and Coverage teams within the Bank in the origination and execution of event and flow transactions at both the investee company level and the fund level of financial sponsors. FSG helps private equity clients across the life cycle of their investments - from fundraising, investment entry, growth and restructuring, to investment exit. Key product solutions typically offered include but are not limited to: Merger & Acquisitions (M&A), Leveraged and Acquisition Finance (LAF), Equity Capital Markets (ECM), Debt Capital Markets (DCM), Strategic and Equity Financing (SEF), and Corporate Risk Solutions (CRS).
- Participate in deal origination and execution of event and flow transactions for FSG ASP team based in Singapore, covering a diverse range of workstreams, including but not limited to:

- Preparing marketing pitches and client presentation materials
- Performing in-depth financial analyses, including leveraged buyout (LBO) and merger models, discounted cash flow (DCF) analysis, returns analysis, and other valuation analyses
- Assisting with transaction documentation and KYC process
- Supporting transaction origination and execution by working in close coordination with all internal and external stakeholders
- Act as an integral part of the engagement team to ensure FSG ASP maintains pro-active dialogue and holistic relationships with financial sponsor clients across Asia
- Undertake all required activities as directed by line manager or as agreed in annual objectives in support of the betterment of the Global Banking business

Requirements
- Strong and proactive work ethic with a positive attitude and sense of ownership
- Ability to multi-task and thrive under pressure in a fast-paced, demanding and intellectually stimulating environment
- Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, with technical expertise in corporate finance and financial modelling and analyses, including LBO and merger models, DCF analysis and returns analysis
- Prior investment banking experience preferred, with familiarity with corporate finance transactions, such as leveraged buyouts, leveraged and acquisition financing, dividend recapitalizations, and equity and debt capital market transactions
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office
