Purpose of the Role:
The Director, Trade and Supply Chain Finance Products, APAC is responsible for setting the strategic direction and drive the initiation, development, implementation, and management of the following suite of products:
- Documentary Trade - primary and secondary markets- Supply Chain Finance (“SCF”) and Working Capital - primary and secondary markets- Trade and SCF proprietary and third-party channels, technology, and platforms- Trade Asset Distribution - origination and distribution products of trade and SCF instruments

Specifically, the Director will be responsible for the following revenue, profit, cost and risk drivers of the product suite:
- Product revenues and balances- Product profitability- Operational efficiency and cost reduction- Inherent product risks and risk management- Product governance APAC, including driving revenues, Trade balances and NOP for Trade, SCF and TAM Products.

APAC includes the following countries: Singapore, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, Australia, New Zealand, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and South Korea.

Primary Responsibilities

Strategic- Establish and drive the strategy for the product suite which will include:
- Target market/market benchmarking-
- Product delivery strategy-
- Marketing plan-
- Internal and external training-
- Product risk mitigation-
- Develop, maintenance and analytics of product MIS and dashboards-
- Sales pipeline and account planning development as required with Sales/Coverage.-
- Channels and Technology development plan and related budgeting/ROIFinancial- Improve Product NOP and operational costs and related efficiencies.- Enhance product revenues year over year through pricing framework initiatives and other related activities- Ensure optimization of product commercialization

Customer- Develop and maintain strong stakeholder management with key stakeholders both within MUFG and externally.- Work in partnership with colleagues across the region/globally to deliver an integrated service for our customers.- Work in partnership with Relationship Managers in the Branches and colleagues in department to understand the customer’s product requirements and recommend solutions.- Work in partnership with various departments to prepare product development to support in internal and external approval of new products.- Work in partnership with various departments in the Bank to support delivering seamless transactions to the customer. Departments including but not limited to Operations, Credit and Planning.- Collaborate with the Transaction Banking Sales team to develop new products and take a proactive approach to analyze customer requirements and the market environment to ensure the suitability of products.

- Exemplifies diversity and inclusionJob Requirements- Degree qualified in any discipline- Minimum 15 years’ experience in managing Transaction Banking in Trade Products, Supply Chain Finance Technology and Channels- Prior leadership experience influencing senior stakeholders in Transaction Banking and outside Transaction Banking- Technical ease of products within assigned Suite- Experience managing P&L- Demonstrated experience in managing a high performing product team- Experience in driving for financial results- Understanding of product management disciplines and governance- Sales and Risk Management (preferred)
