**What the role is**

Manager, Budget Evaluation and Funding Policy, Resource Planning Division (1-year temporary contract)

**What you will be working on**

RPD is part of SSG’s Planning Group (PG) which provides guidance on strategic direction of SSG; formulates strategic policies, plan and allocate resources, and set research directions; and supports strategic decision-making and generate new strategic insights. Specifically, RPD is responsible for the effective planning of resource and budget management to achieve agency's goals:

- Plan, manage, and allocate SSG's budget.
- Formulate corporate-level funding policies and funding parameters.
- Plan and allocate manpower estab.
- Evaluate budget requests.
- Manage budget allocation to PSEIs for Continuing Education and Training (CET).
This role reports to an Assistant Director and is part of a team responsible for ensuring funded programmes are aligned with SSG’s funding policies and support SkillsFuture initiatives and SSG’s overall objectives.
- Evaluate budget requests from Divisions and make recommendations for Internal Approving Authority’s approval
- Serve as secretariat for the Budget and Resource Allocation Committee (BRAC) and Grants Committee (GC) meetings
- Maintain knowledge management repository of project budget approvals
- Review and update the list of standardised outcome indicators and funding components

- Understanding of funding policies and concepts
- Proficiency in numerical calculation and statistical analysis
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint
