- Responsibilities:
- Provide secretarial support to Head/ALC and members of the ALC Senior Management Committee (SMC).- Provide supervision to 2 MSOs and oversee matters related to their work areas.- Provide administrative support to Head/ALC and department staff, planning and coordinating faculty recruitment, contract renewals, promotion & tenure processes and year-end review exercise.- Oversee financial matters, such as annual budget and workplan submission, half-yearly financial reporting, monthly vetting of Vote Control Register, endorsement of Purchase Requests, approval of claims etc. in the department.- Oversee examination-related matters, such as submission of question papers, marks and appeal for marks review in the department.- Collate information required by other admin departments.- Serve as the department’s PDPA Champion.- Support key events such as the Teachers’ Investiture Ceremony (TIC) and/or NTU Convocation.- Identify and implement enhancements to streamline the work processes in the department.- Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
- Requirements:
- A University degree, preferably in Business Studies.- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience, with some supervisory experience.- Good communication skills, both written and oral.- Meticulous and high attention to details.- Resourceful, self-driven, proactive, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently.- Good organisational and planning skills.- A good team player who works well with various stakeholders.- Ability to work well under pressure and within tight deadlines.- Adaptable to change. Familiarity with digital tools and an ability to leverage technology for process optimisation.
