The Singapore (SG) Environmental Assurance and Protection (EAP) Field Operations team is seeking a driven Multi Site Environment Manager (MSEM) to to help drive environmental operational compliance and excellence across our Singapore operations. The MSEM will report directly to the AU & SG Environmental Leader and support site-based environmental resources. The MSEM will be responsible for providing environmental compliance support all sites located in Singapore, while collaborating with site’s operations leadership teams and support functions such as Operations, Facilities and Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) to execute Amazon Global Environmental Standards and Programs, and ensure compliance with all applicable Singapore regulations. By focusing on standards & procedures, risk assessments and compliance evaluations, this individual will lead continuous improvement initiatives to minimize environmental aspects and impacts and communicate & implement best practices across SG sites. Regular site visits will be a required as part of this role to drive strong partnerships and engagements with our sites and internal stakeholders. As this is a site focused role, the MSEM will be based out of an FC and will need to undertake regular site visits across all sites (70% of time spent on site).

Key job responsibilities
- Have good knowledge of Singapore Environmental regulations, and demonstrated success in implementing complex and technical programs to meet regulatory / organizational requirements.
- Manage and execute multi-site responsibilities to comply with air emissions, stormwater, waste, wastewater, and other environmental related laws, regulations and permits, which includes reporting (as needed).
- Develop SG specific Operating Procedures to support regulatory compliance and drive environmental programs’ implementation at a site-level by integrating with engineering, construction and operations. Manage and ensure site’s conformance with Amazon Global Environmental Standards and Programs.
- Lead regulatory agency interactions (be the primary contact for environmental regulatory agencies) and permit support.
- Work with internal and external partners, inclusive of government entities, contractors, consultants, design, construction, operations and other key stakeholders.
- Interact with multiple departments and all levels of employees throughout the operation, with varying levels of technical Environmental knowledge.
- Monitor and provide guidance on site’s performance against applicable environmental regulations, procedures and programs. Measure and analyze environmental metrics and review weekly and monthly trends to determine where improvements are needed. Where improvements are needed, engage with site-based stakeholders to improve site’s environmental performance. Assist sites with action plan development for any deficiencies noted from trends, audits and inspections
- Focus on specific environmental pillars to drive continuous improvement of site performance (EPI)
- Ensure all regulatory and requirement environmental tasks are completed on time and correctly
- Provide SME support and partner with Operations, Sustainability Ambassadors, WHS and RME on cross-functional projects and tasks and drive an environmentally responsible culture within the organization.
- Build and manage collaborative relationships with various stakeholders to ensure risks are identified early and managed appropriately.
- Lead and manage site-based Environmental Champions / POCs and Donations team, developing these employees to be environmental leaders in the SG network.
