We are looking for an entrepreneurial and analytical product leader who can be one of our first hires for a new venture to help companies test and audit their AI systems. There will be a broad ranging remit, with room to grow and take ownership to grow product and the business.
YOU WILL
- Shape the early product roadmap and positioning, beginning with a suite of test protocols, covering qualitative and quantitative aspects of assessment, before automating our testing efforts with a “virtual test lab”.
- Communicate effectively why we are prioritizing certain product features and assess effectiveness against impact metrics; as well as act as an advocate for the company and our product to external stakeholders.
- Research and keep up to date with customer needs, standard setting efforts in AI testing, as well as the broader competitive landscape in responsible AI.
- Get involved in the delivery of our product, as well as consulting services, to our first anchor customers.
- Collaborate with marketing, business development, and finance to deliver business milestones to market impactful product releases.
YOU ARE ABLE TO
- Understand the complexities and frustrations of selling to businesses, but in-spite of this possess a patient and relentless hustle to navigate paths through difficult problems.
- Think from first principles when reasoning about hard problems, and delight in bringing together multiple disciplines (e.g., data science, social science, design thinking) to crack a problem.
- Champion the voice of the customer. You never take the customer literally but are constantly curious about their underlying pain-points, even if they can’t articulate it.
- Lead by example regardless of whether you are a manager or individual contributor. You want to work with passionate and talented individuals and people want to work with you.
- Communicate in an open, frank and respectful manner.
- Take the initiative to fill the gaps on this start-up journey regardless of the task.
- Navigate uncertainty by being willing to explore, while remaining laser focused on the mission at hand.
YOU HAVE
- Extensive experience as a product manager or in technical advisory work in AI/ML, cybersecurity, or privacy. Specific experience with ethical or responsible AI is not essential but a plus. We value individuals who have varied experiences in different roles, working with B2B customers.
