**About this opportunity**

This position is responsible for ensuring the accurate assessment of all revenue transactions related to products, services and promotions in accordance with US GAAP. This person will have US GAAP technical revenue accounting background in a multi-element environment and have a proven ability to foster proactive working relationships with cross-functional and global organizations. The Sr. Technical Revenue Accounting Manager will be a first point of contact for the regional teams as it relates to revenue accounting policies and procedures on a global basis.

**In this role, you will**
- Assist in compliance for worldwide revenue recognition in accordance with US GAAP; including complex arrangements such as bundled sales, cross functional transactions, and omnichannel
- Liaison with, present to, and create assets for high-level global audience in a technical capacity, including but not limited to regional VP and SVPs, Senior Director of Worldwide Revenue, Controller, CFO, Pricewaterhouse Coopers, and the Audit Committee
- Defend, generate policies for, and explicate on complex accounting positions related to Clear Aligner and Systems and Services segments
- Ensure revenue accounting policies are documented and applied consistently on a worldwide basis
- Initial contact for Marketing, Sales, Commercial Finance and Legal for assessment of revenue recognition impact of promotion programs and new product offerings
- First line of defense and trusted research for the global corporate revenue team; must be able to support and reference ASC 606 guidance. Will be only second resource across entirety of Controllership organization sufficiently well versed therein.
- Provide critical support against single source of failure in current organization as it relates to technical guidance
- Able to analyze and assess new product and discount offerings for proper revenue recognition
- Quarterly support of promotions needing technical revenue assessment; ability to have discussions with the business for alternative mechanisms if needed
- Refine and provide revenue training for new hires and other Finance teams
- Draft financial statement disclosures related to deferred revenue and revenue
- Prepare quarterly and annual technical revenue memos for review
- Support quarterly earnings process including coordination with SEC Reporting and Investor Relations
- Support road map projects
- Support other projects as needed
**In this role, you’ll need **
- 10+ years of progressive experience - preferably a mix of Big 4 accounting firm experience and public companies with multiple, complex revenue streams in a high-growth environment; multi-national experience
- Licensed CPA
- Experience and in-depth knowledge of revenue accounting related to multiple-element arrangements, promotions and volume discounts under ASC 606
- Ability to conduct technical accounting research and document findings
- Excellent verbal, written, and listening skills as well as ability to effectively use accounting knowledge to collaborate, guide and interact professionally with a wide range of personnel at various levels within the organization to drive sound business decisions
- Ability to effectively present information with confidence and accuracy to various levels of internal management and external auditors
- Strong multi-tasking skills and ability to adapt to change
- Matrix leadership experience of direct reports and cross-functional teams (Finance, Marketing, and Legal)
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and high pressure situations, while problem solving and effectively multi-tasking to arrive at the correct resolutions
- Strong knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley requirements, including the ability to assess, develop and implement internal controls related to revenue and deferred revenue
