Job Responsibilities include:

- Drive the origination and execution of leveraged and acquisition financing deals both externally as well as internally, including supporting the credit decision making to have better understanding and monitoring of risk inherent to each deal and client.
- Undertake financial modelling and credit diligence, including for structured leveraged finance transactions.
- Prepare client presentations and develop client relationships through deal execution and pitching. Provide oversight to junior bankers on pitches, modelling, etc.
- Link with partners globally to facilitate information, pre-emptive ideas generations and deliver solutions and global best practices to the clients.
- Support the financial sponsor coverage team for Private Equity sponsor clients.
- Prepare internal materials and assist with managing internal approval processes.
- Assist with review / negotiate legal documentation incl. commitments papers and credit agreements.

Job Requirements:

- Undergraduate/Master degree from leading universities.
- Professional qualifications are advantageous e.g. ACA, CFA, MBA.
- For Vice President: Proven track record of 7 or more years’ experience as a member of the marketing and deal teams at a leading Bank, with focus on strategic and acquisition finance, sector knowledge and cross-products solutions successfully led the identification, structuring and execution of financing transactions
- For Director: Proven track record of 13 or more years’ experience as a member of the marketing and deal teams at a leading Bank, with focus on strategic and acquisition finance, sector knowledge and cross-products solutions successfully led the identification, structuring and execution of financing transactions
- Proven practical knowledge of corporate and acquisition financing, and sector based insights leading through to cross-product solutions

Functional/Technical Skills and Knowledge:

- Action-oriented, energetic, influential, collaborative and entrepreneurial.
- Strong communication and influencing skills.
- Strong partnership skills and able to network and collaborate across internal. departments both regionally and globally in order to coordinate transactions across different branches, departments and Tokyo HQ.
- Demonstrated ability to quickly understand and articulate what is required and to deliver on projects, with a strong attention to detail.
- A creative thinker and a proactive idea generator.
- Strong up-to-date knowledge of the financing and risk markets, of industrials sector and cross-product solutions.
- Strong credit knowledge/understanding with strong financial analysis/modelling skills.
