
Head of Portfolio and Pipeline Management

**_ PURPOSE OF JOB/POSITION_**
The Head of Portfolio Management and Pipeline is expected to take a role in managing Takeda’s GEM portfolio; to manage portfolio progress, create insights, and provide Global with expert recommendations for pipeline optimization regards to GEM local insights. He/She will ensure sufficient resource allocation and activity plan for marketing and execution excellence of GEM portfolio management to drive the growth of the company. The Head of Portfolio Management and Pipeline is also expected to take a role in developing differentiated commercial strategies and long-term growth strategies for emerging markets based on customer insights. This role will work closely with GPLS and country teams product teams to drive and implement the strategy from current and pipeline products. In addition, this role will also be responsible from launch excellence.
**_ ACCOUNTABILITIES_**
- Localize and execute global strategy/plan for GEM portfolio, including resource allocation and prioritize across GEM countries and activities, to achieve strategic growth
- Role-modeling of marketing best practices and ensure an ambitious capability building agenda for GEM
- Lead and facilitate cross-functional collaborations to ensure thorough brand strategies and seamless implementation of brand plans
- Ensure high-quality insights and analytics to understand customer needs across Takeda’s portfolio
- Deliver high-quality differentiated commercial strategies to serve Takeda’s short
- and long
- term growth strategies for emerging markets
- Develop performance management, training and capability building across the region to ensure salesforce effectiveness

**Critical functional knowledge**

- Proven ability to plan and manage innovative/specialty franchise resources (finance, headcount) at >$500M BU, enabling GEM’s growth strategy
- Solid experience in marketing and commercial strategy
- Key facilitator of strategic and operational decisions and owner to resolve any cross-functional challenges at above-franchise level
- Proven ability to understand the market, identify business opportunities, develop analytics-based strategic plans, establish cross-functional/geography partnerships and drives actionable decisions to deliver on short and long-term growth targets and operational excellence
- Proven ability to develop and communicate a strategic view based on the integrated knowledge of all franchise programs and serve as a bridge with GEMLT to share cross-program learnings

- Strong marketing and sales knowledge to deeply understand the stakeholder needs, to develop strategies and support countries to implement them. P&L management experience is also expected.

Direct impact to GEM P&L given the importance of portfolio management to maximize drugs’ value throughout its lifecycle. This role has oversight for Pipeline strategy readiness and execution.
