**Overview of Position**

The Radiography Assistant is responsible for performing general patient-related activities in reception, waiting areas and examination rooms, looking into the general welfare of patients. He/she is also responsible for assisting radiographers in transferring patients, image processing and the care of radiographic system and processing units.

**Responsibilities**
- Perform cleaning of cassettes, imaging plates and equipment.
- Perform QA on printers and maintain records.
- Perform simple trouble shooting on equipment (training provided by vendor).
- Assist in moving of equipment (portable x-ray unit, I.I, ultrasound etc).
- Assist radiographer in processing of images.
- Check and ensure patient’s name and ID are correct.
- Assist radiographer in patient transferring, using proper posture and techniques.
- Ensure patient’s line and catheter are observed.
- Participate in continuous medical education and quality assurance programs as directed by supervisor.
- Assist in film/ image management.
- Perform other general duties as directed by the radiographer in-charge / radiographer on duty.
- Any other duties as assigned by supervisor.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum secondary school education.
- Compassionate and good patient care.
- Customer and service oriented.
- Able to read and speak in English.
- Knowledge of basic computer skills.
- Working experience in hospitals will be an added advantage.
