**Head of Cluster Launch Lead, Asia Aspiring Cluster**:

**About the role**

The Head of Cluster Launch lead is responsible for leading a high-performance cross-functional organization at the country level. This role is accountable for ensuring strategic, organizational and product launch success across Asia Aspiring Cluster (AAC) countries consistent with APMA Region and overarching global strategies. The current focus of the role is on Zolgensma for Spinal Muscular Atrophy; other products can be under the scope of this role. In addition, this role is an integral member of the AAC leadership team.
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Works with country, cluster and regional teams to create an aspiring vision for Zolgensma and other selected future launch products for AAC, supported by sound product strategy, focused operational plan, as well as right business model and organization set up.
- Together with country teams, be responsible for brand P&L, such as delivering financial targets, prioritizing resource allocation, driving plan execution, achieving long-term sustained business success.
- Leads a high-performance, cohesive and agile cross-functional organization including market access, medical, commercial, communications and public affairs.
- Develops and executes highly impactful medical, commercial, communications and public affairs strategies aligned with corporate, global medical, and global brand strategies.
- Builds the corporate reputation in the country through long term relationships with important external constituents including experts/key opinion leaders, health authorities, policy-making bodies, and patient advocacy associations.
- Engages external stakeholders in joint efforts to develop strong access to the product including initiatives such as newborn screening for SMA.

**Role Requirements**

**Essential Requirements**:

- 10+ years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, preferably in rare disease/gene therapy, illustrating strong career progression and a track record of success in leadership roles of increasing size, scope and complexity, including heading up country operations.
- Direct experience with Zolgensma.
- Commercial launch experience, ideally with an innovative, orphan product; direct experience with orphan/ultra-orphan products would be a distinct advantage.
- Strong focus on both operational and strategic skills.
- Experience building, leading, and developing high performance commercial and cross-functional regional teams; 10 years in executive commercial leadership roles.
- Experience working cross-functionally with manufacturing, supply-chain, R&D, regulatory, finance, legal, human resources and commercial organizations, to formulate strategy and drive competitive initiatives to successful conclusions
