DESIGNATION : Fleet Assistant

RESPONSIBILITIES

We are heading into a hectic phase with numerous interesting projects, this while ‘business as usual’ continue to be our most important focus. We need to orchestra the IMO 2020 stricter and much anticipated environmental implementation, much focus on ESG and of course our high profile LGIP conversions on top an almost endless series of dry dockings whilst implementing a new technical & finance ERP to mention few of the interesting tasks at hand.

Operational cost and performance of the fleet is key deliverables for satisfied customers. To achieve this, we need ambition and excellent collaboration, strong systems, fantastic reporting and the strictest of control on all relevant parameters.

We need a person with high energy levels, technical acumen, superior analytical skills, bang on computer skills with the patience of an angel and humor like a sailor to join us in a high-paced environment.
- Assist and support the Technical team
- Undertake and assist on projects
- Assist with record keeping and document control
- Consolidate and present monthly Technical & Operations management report
- Keep close control of expenditure on technical accounts
- Review and comment on monthly cash calls
- Monitor, review and file all reports from Technical
- Assist to create ad-hoc reports and presentations as needed
- Collect, Review monthly OPEX reports
- Review quarterly OPEX forecast & variance reports
- Review, report and archive requests for unbudgeted expenditures from technical and obtain relevant approval
- Assist in budget preparation work
- Liaise with Business Controllers to collect and archive data / statistics to enable accurate benchmarking production of a monthly KPI report.
- Assist in conducting annual quality audits on the 3rd party managers and report findings for Management Reviews.
- Assist with collecting and organizing data for ESG reporting

QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous experience as Fleet/Technical Assistant/Controller is a plus
- Able to make recommendations and decisions based on data
- Capable of working with and analyzing detailed information
- Communicates well and expresses ideas clearly
- Analytical and manages data and information logically
- Works in a careful and thorough manner
- Capable of prioritizing tasks in a hectic shipping environment (much ad-hoc assignments)
- Technical education is a plus
