Job overview:
This position will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely payments, overseeing vendor relations, and supporting month-end close activities.

Key Responsibilities:
Invoice processing: manage invoices from OCR software to post invoices daily and liaise with internal stakeholders to clear blocked invoices

Vendor Relations: Maintain strong relationships with vendors and respond to inquiries regarding payment status, discrepancies, and reconciliation of vendor statements.

Process Improvements: Identify opportunities to enhance accounts payable processes, improve efficiency, and strengthen internal controls.

Month-End Close: Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, including accruals, reconciliations, and reporting.

Expense Reports: Review and process employee expense reports in compliance with company policies and procedures.

Auditing: Prepare and review accounts payable documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and applicable laws.

Internal Controls: Maintain and improve internal controls within the accounts payable process.

Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and company policies.

System Optimization: Work with ERP and accounting systems to streamline processes and troubleshoot issues.

Ad hoc duties: To participate in ongoing projects and other initiatives

Qualifications:
Education: Diploma, Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.

**Experience**:
10+ years of experience in accounts payable or accounting roles, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or senior capacity.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (SAP is a must) and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Ariba and Concur knowledge is a plus. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with internal teams and external vendors. Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all work processes. Time Management: Ability to handle multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work under pressure.
