Job summary

As a new role for the region, it will begin with opportunities to discover compelling content ideas, forming strong partnerships with in-country teams and building a strong editorial calendar. The audience is front-line employees and managers across UAE, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Egypt, India, Singapore, Japan, and Australia, with more countries to be added. You will prioritize people-first stories that spotlight our hard-working and diverse Operations workforce across APAC and MENA, keeping our associates informed, entertained, and feeling appreciated. As we enhance our channels across APAC and MENA, you will own the engagement strategy, content delivery, and measurement approach.

Key job responsibilities
- Lead and inspire staff to create compelling, relevant content and drive readership/viewership.
- Curate content guided by business needs, audience preferences, and user data.
- Monitor and grow adoption and engagement of Amazon-owned channels to reach employees.
- Manage content production, budgets, and timelines.
- Collaborate with global teams to improve content performance.

About the team

The Operations Internal Communications team comes to work each day to obsess over the Amazon front-line employee’s experience. We are stewards of our corporate reputation and seek ways to build brand ambassadors from the inside out. We create and deliver communications that keep our employees informed, engaged, and proud to be Amazonians.
- Must demonstrate top-notch writing and editing skills, as well as a sharp eye for video and other visual storytelling forms. - Must be a team player who works collaboratively and can motivate teams. - Must be detail oriented about understanding, measuring and improving employee engagement on internal company-owned and third-party channels. - Able to work in a fast-paced environment, deadline driven, and extremely well organized, with strong project management skills. - Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams and operating in ambiguous environments. - Ability to speak one or more Asian languages is a plus. Must be a proficient English speaker.
