RRIS is the leading research institute in rehabilitation, and it is the first of its kind in Singapore to focus on rehabilitation.
The Project Officer at RRIS will support research on the built environment’s impact on participation, psychosocial well-being, and public health outcomes. They will also contribute to musculoskeletal, aging, and rehabilitation research, enhancing RRIS’s interdisciplinary efforts and advancing excellence in rehabilitation research.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide research support in the field of the built environment and its impact on participation, psychosocial wellbeing, and public health indicators.- Support the planning of the research project, conduct of research activities, and in project administrative matters.- Support research activities in musculoskeletal, aging and rehabilitation studies.- Assist in biomedical engineering tasks for key institute-level projects.- Conduct literature reviews, qualitative interviews, and quantitative surveys (including administering outcome measures). Related responsibilities include, but are not limited to, identifying and summarizing relevant literature, coordinating data collection, recruiting participants, and collaborating with external partners.- Assist in data analysis, using qualitative tools such as NVivo and quantitative tools such as “R” or Stata, where appropriate.-
- Other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in public health, biomedical engineering or any related courses- Experience in health-related sector and/or qualitative research is advantageous- Good written and oral communication skills and good interpersonal skills.- Able to work independently- Keen interest in research and motivated- Able to problem-solve and demonstrate resourcefulness. Good organizational skills.- Able to work well in a team
