Chess Trainer

Responsible for training and overseeing the activities of the chess classes and students. The chess trainer will be responsible for providing individual lesson and group lessons. Essential functions of the job may include but are not limited to the following:

Develop opportunities for all students interested in the game of chess. Encourage students to learn the game of chess and improve their chess playing skills.

Encourage students to appreciate and value their classmates, school, and community.

Knowledge Skills and Ability Required:
1. Must have a FIDE Chess Standard Rating of at least 2200

2. Must have worked in Singapore for at least 3 years as Chess Trainer

3. Knowledge of the rules and game of chess.

4. Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with students, parents, staff and community members.5. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

6. Must have the ability and proven ability to report to work on a regular and punctual basis.
