
Finance and Admin Manager

This is a managerial and supervisory role to manage the accounts, finance, human resources and administrative functions of Jurong Christian Church (the Church) and its David & Goliath Preschool (the Preschool). This is a managerial role supported by the office administrators and the operations team.
**Accounting & Finance**:
- To ensure that all incoming tithes, offering collections and incomes are accounted for and recorded accurately
- To ensure that all outgoing expenditures are valid, properly authorized, and disbursed and recorded accurately
- To prepare the regular financial statements for reviews by Treasurers
- To oversee the annual financial audit and facilitate the preparation of the year-end financial statements for the AGM
- To ensure that all funds are properly placed in the designated accounts
- To assist Treasurers to compile and prepare the annual budgets
**Administration**:
- To ensure proper HR and administrative functioning of the Church and Preschool
- To ensure proper computation of payroll, annual leaves and claims entitlements
- To ensure that all legal and regulatory filings are submitted on a timely basis
- To support all relevant church committees and ministries
- To participate in the AGM process, coordinate and work with other AGM working groups so as to ensure that the AGM runs smoothly
**Education and Working Experience Requirements**:
- A university accounting/business degree with a few years of relevant working experience
- A polytechnic diploma in accounting with 10-15 years of relevant working experience
- Prior experience in finance and administrative roles within charities and churches and familiarity with legal and regulatory requirements for charities and churches will be an added advantage
- The job is a platform for a faithful Christian with a heart to serve God in the church to help advance the various ministries as planned by the church leadership teams
**Skill Requirements**:
- Leadership and organizational skills - planning, delegating, attention to details, time management
- Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work with people of various backgrounds, abilities and characters is desirable
