GLOBALFOUNDRIES is seeking a Sr. Mobility Specialist to join the Global Rewards Team.
We are looking for a dynamic Global Mobility Specialists for our Total Rewards team. The Global Mobility Specialist will play a key role in working with the business, HR Team, and mobility & tax providers to deliver high quality, well understood, and efficient global talent mobility programs. Built on the premises of compliance, business results, employee experience, and talent development, the Mobility Specialist will execute our mobility practices aligned with business needs to ensure an outstanding employee experience.
This role will report to the Global Mobility Leader and will interact with other regional mobility and compensation professionals to ensure standardized processes, programs, and policies. This role is hands-on, requiring strong technical and analytical skills.
**Your Job**:
- Active involvement in the GlobalFoundries total global rewards framework as it relates to high quality global mobility services
- Lead in managing regional inbound and outbound global mobility cases, handling immigration issues, and ensuring appropriate taxation and payroll coordination.
- Counsel assignees on a broad range of mobility topics, such as payroll, benefits, taxes, immigration, and relocations
- Contribute country-specific insights in areas such as housing, education, tax and immigration into the mobility program
- Identify areas of redundancy and process improvement for optimal processes execution
- Create documents and announce immigration updates, new policies and procedures in APAC
- Conduct research, develop project-based services, and coordinate tasks with our business units and group companies
- Help create new service offerings and act as a project leader for new service implementation
- Ensure GlobalFoundries adheres to all immigration compliance and laws, and conduct audits
- Prepare secondment agreements, international assignment letters, and contracts
- Conduct meetings and training sessions with relevant parties
- Support senior compensation leaders in consultation with HR Business Partners and managers on a variety of mobility related matters including but not limited to, cost, immigration, taxes, etc.
- Participate in broader total rewards activities
- Other tasks as assigned
**Other Responsibilities**:
- Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs
**Required Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or Related Discipline
- Min 3 years of experience in mobility, broad-based compensation, or related fields
- Expert level use of Excel and solid proficiency in Microsoft Office (e.g., PowerPoint and Word)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and make meaningful recommendations with a focus on process improvement
- Minimal Travel Required
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- CCP (Certified Compensation Professional) certification preferred
- Experience preparing executive level presentation materials
- Impeccable integrity, work ethics, experience in managing sensitive matters
- Previous experience in a fast-pace setting, high tech manufacturing or semiconductor industry
- Proven analytical ability
- Maturity to handle large volumes of sensitive/confidential information and make sound decisions
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while still delivering high quality results
- Ability to understand the labor market and trends over time
- Good communication skills, especially with internal executive clients and key vendors
- Ability to operate independently
- Ability to prioritize and manage expectations of leaders and HR colleagues
- Demonstrated ability to work well within a global matrixed team or environment
