**JOB SUMMARY**:
- To provide statistical and analytical support to clinicians and researchers in TTSH.
- To teach educational courses or seminars in statistics to researchers, clinicians and staff of TTSH.
**MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
SPECIFIC
- Operational
- Work closely with researchers in providing statistical support for clinical research projects and clinical trials, including but not limited to sample size calculation, data cleaning/analysis, drafting of statistical analysis plan, and writing relevant portions of methods, results and discussion sections of manuscripts, other publications and response to reviewers’ comments.
- Promote the knowledge and practice of statistics in TTSH through consultation clinics, talks, seminars and informal interactions.
- Churn out randomisation codes for investigator-initiated clinical trials in a neutral manner.
- Interpret the results from statistical analysis for researchers, clinicians and staff of TTSH - Translating or explaining what the results/information mean and how it can be used for write-ups.
- Process research data, including compiling, coding, categorising, calculating, tabulating, auditing, or verifying information or data.
- Keep up-to-date with and use relevant statistical and scientific knowledge.
- Establish and maintain positive interpersonal relationships - developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with researchers, clinicians and staff of TTSH.
- Assist in mentoring junior Medical Statistician and new staff, and help promote a working environment of collegiality and effective teamwork.
- Research Training
- Deliver talks or workshops on areas of expertise or related disciplines in the monthly research trainings or other seminars as scheduled by CRIO.
GENERAL- Any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor / Head of Department.
- Constantly evaluate and make continuous improvements to work processes.
- Actively participate as a member for quality improvement projects at the Hospital-wide / Departmental level.
**JOB REQUIREMENTS**:
EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics or Mathematics
- PREREQUISITES- Proficient in statistical software especially SPSS and STATA. Knowledge in other statistical software is an advantage.
- Capable of providing reliable, independent and competent statistical advice, complemented with technical knowledge to analyse complex data and explain the findings to non-statisticians.
- Strong interest in research.
- Able to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
EXPERIENCE- Relevant experience preferred but not compulsory.
- Fresh graduates are welcomed to apply.
