Provide expert advice to on-board new users to NSCC?s systems.
Engage with new researchers, communities and disciplines with data-intensive computing.
Translate user requirements into optimal computational work plans.
Assist in the design of NSCC's HPC/AI systems, including benchmarking NSCC workloads on various platforms and recommending the most suitable architecture for the research community.
Design and implement scalable and performant HPC/AI software infrastructure with ease of maintenance.
Analyse system and user job data for efficient resource allocations and management.
Develop utility and automated testing tools for NSCC's HPC/AI systems.
Develop user guide and best practice guide documents for NSCC's HPC/AI systems.

QUALIFICATIONS

A postgraduate qualification or significant progress towards postgraduate qualifications in a relevant scientific or computer science discipline.
Proven working knowledge of HPC/AI system and software.
Familiar with HPC job schedulers (PBS or SLURM), OpenMP & MPI, and container technologies (Docker or Singularity).
Familiar with Kubernetes and AI frameworks is a plus.
Familiar with programming languages, Linux and HPC profiler & debugger tools e.g. Bash, C/C++, Fortran, Python, Conda, GDB, Git and IPM.
Familiar with HPC storage e.g. GPFS and Lustre.
Demonstrated good team play spirit and high-level problem solving skills.
Demonstrated effective communication skill including the ability to articulate technical concepts to a diverse range of clients.
Demonstrated ability & willingness to contribute novel ideas and approaches in support of research community.
At least one published journal article or conference paper related to the field (please provide reference)
