**About our group**:
**About the role - you will**:
This is a position for a professional who is keen to research and develop proof of concepts for computing, edge devices, and future storage solutions.
Research and develop embedded/edge solutions for the future generation of storage technologies and devices
- Proof-of-Concept involving research and stage around:

- Embedded system
- Software full stack implementation
- Hardware interfaces and communication
- Servo Mechanical control
- Security protocol

**About you**:

- Bachelor’s/Master’s/PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or any other qualifications in relevant fields
- Good programming knowledge and skill
- Good communication skills
- Good team player, Can-do attitude and willing to learn**Your experience includes**:

- Knowledge of common software algorithms and data structures
- Experience in one or more programming languages (such as C, C++, assembly, Python, Golang, Rust etc.)
- Familiar with embedded system and OS
- Familiar with system level OS and full stack implementation
- Familiar with SDLC
- Development in Linux environment
- Experience with MATLAB
- Experience with hardware interface protocols (e.g. SAS, SATA, NVMe, PCIe, I2C)
- Experience with servo mechanical control
- Knowledge of electronics
- Knowledge of cyber security
- Knowledge and experience in FPGA

**Location**:
The Shugart site (named after Seagate’s founder, Al Shugart) is a research and design center. Easily accessible from the One-North MRT Station, many employees choose to take mass-transportation to work. Ample free on-site parking is also available. Being a purpose built building; The Shugart has excellent employee recreational facilities. Take an active break at our badminton courts, table tennis tables, in-house gym and recreation rooms. Our yoga and zumba classes are very popular.
