Head of Regulatory Compliance

**Position Overview**:

- The Head of Regulatory Compliance & Licensing will oversee Airwallex’s compliance with all relevant regulatory frameworks and licensing requirements in each market where Airwallex operates. This critical role will require exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and collaboration with other key stakeholders across the organization.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop and implement a comprehensive compliance strategy to ensure Airwallex fully complies with all relevant regulatory requirements across all markets.
- Manage and oversee the regulatory compliance and licensing function, including developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and laws.
- Maintaining an up-to-date understanding of regulatory developments and industry best practices ensures the compliance program remains effective and relevant.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance considerations are integrated into business decisions and processes.
- Lead and mentor a team of regulatory compliance and licensing professionals to achieve team and company OKRs.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in law, business, finance, or a related field. A law degree is strongly preferred.
- 15+ years of experience in regulatory compliance or related fields, with a strong focus on the financial services industry. Fintech experience is highly desirable.
- Deep understanding of relevant regulatory frameworks and licensing requirements in key global markets, including the US and Europe.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to operate strategically and think creatively to solve complex regulatory compliance challenges.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills focusing on pragmatic, risk-weighted solutions that sustainably support business growth.
